Daniel is a social psychologist whose research is at the intersection of cultural and experimental existential psychology. He has published on how aspects of culture (e.g., religion, SES) shape phenomena like interpretation of suffering, victimhood, and enemyship. Given his prior research on how traditionalist Mennonites cope with natural disaster, he was drawn to the Human Generosity Project’s focus on disaster recovery and resilience.
